You might already know that I’m doing NaNoWriMo again this year. It will be my fourth time, after 3 wins in the past years with fiction stories: Temples of Gold (a fanfiction that I never published) and Healers drafts 1 and 2 (the second one being a total re-write of the first, it felt like a first draft!). NaNoWriMo has really helped me become productive and turn my novels into reality. I definitely recommend doing it if you are a writer who wants to learn to write quickly!

This year, however, will be special: I will attempt it with a non-fiction book called “The Part-Time Artist”:

My NaNoWriMo project: The Part-Time Artist

If you follow me on Twitter, you might have heard of this project already. I am very excited to start it, and I really do hope that it will be helpful for others artists. It’s very ambitious, because I won’t stop with one book. There’s a whole series that is planned, and I will also do videos, webinars and workshops. I know already that there are some topics that I want to explore in more details, and I am convince that it will bring a lot of value for people out there who try to juggle their art with their job.

I am currently researching for the book, and I have received very interesting stories from all over the world. If you want to participate too, please fill up this short survey:

(It will only take 5 minutes, and it is anonymous)

I honestly don’t know if I’ll win NaNoWriMo this year, because I don’t know if I can be as quick with non-fiction as I am with fiction. To be honest, I am not too worried about winning or not, for once. I just want to write a great book that is going to be helpful. I think the length of 50K words is good for a non-fiction, so hopefully I make it!

In the meantime, I have decided to blog more and share snippets of my research with you. This blog should be a bit more lively in the next weeks! Stay tuned 🙂
