About Me

I was born in Mons, a small town in the south of Belgium.

I studied Physics at the Université de Mons-Hainaut (UMH) and graduated with a Master (formerly name “Licence” in French). My specialisation was Particle Physics, and I worked on a detector located in the South Pole. The subject of my thesis was: “Optimising the energy determination of muon neutrinos in AMANDA”, which means that I compared different configurations and variables in neural networks that were used to calculate particle energies, and selected the most accurate ones.

After graduation, I moved to  Switzerland to work in research as a PhD student. However, after a couple of years in academia, I decided to pursue a more creative career.

In 2012, I moved to London and started working in the theatre industry (mainly West End). I quickly climbed the ladder until management. I also created my own creative side-business, The Part-Time Artist.

However, after 10 years in the creative industry, I have decided to return to my scientific roots. I am currently hoping to move to the data science field, as I find that it is the perfect combination between my analytical skills and my creative skills.

I am aiming to achieve many data-related projects this year. Check out my GitHub for more!
